PRIVACY & POLICY
1. Privacy and Confidentiality
Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal and health-related information is collected, used, and protected. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all information you share.
•Any personal, medical, or sensitive information collected before, during, or after our services is kept strictly confidential.
•This information will never be shared with third parties without your written consent, unless required by law.
•Digital and paper records (if applicable) are securely stored in compliance with federal privacy standards, including applicable provisions of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act).
2. Non-Medical Disclosure
By signing this agreement, the client understands and agrees that:
•The doula is not a medical professional and does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment.
•The doula does not perform clinical or medical procedures, including fetal heart monitoring, vaginal exams, or the administration of medications.
•The doula’s role is strictly to provide physical, emotional, and informational support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, within a non-clinical scope.
3. Limitation of Liability
The client acknowledges and agrees that:
•The doula bears no responsibility or liability for the birthing outcome, condition of the baby at birth, or any complications arising during labor, delivery, or postpartum.
•Birth is an inherently unpredictable event. While the doula is committed to providing compassionate and knowledgeable support, the doula cannot be held accountable for unexpected negative outcomes or perceived dissatisfaction with the birth experience.
4. Release of Claims
By engaging in doula services:
•The client waives any right to bring a lawsuit or legal action against the doula for any reason, including but not limited to birth outcomes, emotional distress, or dissatisfaction with services provided.
•All disputes or disagreements arising from services rendered will be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (or local equivalent).
•Arbitration will be conducted in the state of [Insert State], and both parties waive the right to a jury trial or court proceedings.
5. Acknowledgment of Understanding
By signing below, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms within this Privacy Policy and Client Agreement.
