A doula is a unique part of your birthing experience. As your doula, I will nurture and care for you throughout your pregnancy and birth. I will dance the labor dance with you while rubbing your back and whispering words of encouragement in your ear. I will hold your hand, wipe the sweat from your brow and keep the sacred space so you can laugh, cry, yell, sing or silently work through the process. The birth of your baby is an important and transformative event in your life and as your doula, I will be a committed and invaluable resource throughout this intense, exhilerating and marvelous experience.

I am trained as a doula and also as a midwife, working toward my credentials. Though as a doula I do not perform any clinical tasks, I feel that I can offer extensive knowledge and support that stems from my diagnostic training as a midwife. Most importantly though is my trust and belief in the Midwives Model of Care, which is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes.
I offer constant and continual physical and emotional support to the mother and assist the father or partner in staying present and involved in the entire labor and delivery, if needed. I help advocate for my client's rights and help ensure that her birth plan is followed and all procedures are discussed and agreed upon by client and partner. I work to empower women to feel strong, capable and in control of their birth experiences.
